Thomas Wesley Pentz, better known as Diplo, is a favorite American DJ, songwriter and popular record producer.
He has had an impressive career spanning 25 years and has worked with some of the most acclaimed artists in the music industry. Finishing off a self-titled album Diplo on March 4th, Thomas Wesley Pentz has a long and dynamic journey to get here. Thomas Wesley Pentz was born in 1978 in Tupelo, Mississippi. As a child, Thomas Diplodocus was fascinated by dinosaurs, and this is where his stage name was born. While studying at Temple University in Philadelphia, his peers began to recognize his talent as a DJ, and Thomas Wesley Pentz made his debut as a DJ in 1997. The influence of musical instruments that could convey his style began early. Her young pet rap influenced what would turn into her own production style, and the years of her upbringing in Miami introduced her to the unique hip-hop flavor known as Miami Base.
